Vegetable Pulao Recipe

Pulao or Pulav(Hindi: पुलाव) is an South Asian rice dish cooked in various styles across India. Pulao is usually cooked with high quality rice like Basmati rice cooked with variety of vegetables which gives it an unbeatable taste and flavor. We will be showing here how to cook an Instant Vegetable Pulao.

Vegetable Pulao Ingredients 

    Vegetable Pulao
  • 1 Bowl Basmati Rice
  • 1 piece cut Carrot
  • 1/2 cup cut Cauliflower
  • 1/4 cup Beans
  • 1 piece peeled and cut Potato
  • 1/2 cup Peas
  • 50 grams cut Cheese Pieces (Paneer)
  • 5-6 pieces Cashew nut ( Kaju )
  • 10-12 pieces Dried Raisins( Kishmish )
  • 2 pieces cut Tomato's or Tomato Puree
  • 4-5 pieces Indian Bay leaf (tej patta)
  • 1 tablespoon Garam Masala
  • 2 pieces Elaichi (Cardamon)
  • 4-5 pieces Black pepper (Kali mirch)
  • 3-4 pieces Cloves
  • 2-3 tablespoon Refined Oil / Ghee
  • 1 tablespoon Salt ( or as per taste )
  • Curd or Raita ( to be served with this)
  • 4 Bowl Water (use same bowl used for Rice)

How to make Vegetable Pulao - Preparation Method

  1. Soak the Rice for 30 mins and drain in after that and keep it aside
  2. Take a pressure cooker or Deep Frying pan , add 3 tablespoon Ghee / Oil  then add all the following set of ingredients : Tej patta, Elaichi , Kali Mirch, Cloves together into the pan.
  3. Add the Tomato and mash it
  4. Then add all the vegetables along with Kaju, Kishmish , Garam Masala and Paneer
  5. Add Rice along with 4 Bowl water now
  6. Add Salt and close the Pressure cooker or tightly lit the Pan.
  7. Cook it for 10 mins on slow gas flame
  8. Open it after 10mins and mix it and your steaming Hot Pulao is ready
  9. Serve it with Curd or Raita
